Model Aircraft activities in the Riverina of New South Wales, Australia

Wagga Model Aero Club Inc (WMAC) flies Radio-Controlled model aircraft on Wednesdays and Weekends (weather permitting) at the Connorton Model Airfield located on the Olympic Highway 8 kms south of Wagga Wagga, NSW. The Club is dedicated to promoting all forms of miniature aircraft activity and Club interests regularly cover:

  • Outdoor electric & piston engine aeroplane and helicopter models
  • 3D and Fun-Fly foam models
  • Scale Military and Civilian models
  • Large scale aerobatic competition models (3 meter+ wingspan)
  • Gliders, both electric assisted and tow-launched
  • Jet turbine aircraft
  • Indoor flight with Ultra light & Ultra slow electric models

Visitors and Spectators are always welcome, with the Club open 7 days per week, weather permitting, although most activity occurs on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Upgraded toilets and shaded seating are available. Members are happy to provide information on modelling activities or you may contact any of the Committee as listed on the side panel. Those visitors wishing to fly a model must be financial members of the MAAA and should be accompanied by a current member of the WMAC. Advice on getting started is always available with Pilot Instruction available by arrangement.
