WWII & MILITARY SCALE

Friday 26th - Sunday 28th April 2019

The Wagga Model Aero Club's WWII and Military Scale event is an annual event held on the weekend closest to ANZAC day. Pilots come from all around Australia, bringing models of a high standard which are faithful reproductions of current and ex-military aircraft. The event is open only to MAAA members.

As competition flying will commence on Friday morning, in parallel with Static judging, we encourage entrants, if possible, to arrive on Thursday 25th April to allow time for registration and setup. The field will be available for camping setup, as well as general or practice flying on the days leading up to the event, so Contestants are welcome at any time. On-field registration will be available from Thursday 25th. Flying will be for Entrants only from Friday 26th.

Based on feedback after the 2018 event, we have made some minor rule changes, that are intended to provide a more balanced competition for the two main classes of model, Scratch/Kit-built and ARF, where entrants in either class are only competing against others in the same class.

A new Class has been created for Military Scale Helicopters, therefore, we urge you to read the 2019 Rules carefully. Changes have a highlight bar in the left margin adjacent the changed rule. Flight rules and manoeuvres remain unchanged except for the addition of an optional manoeuvre for Helicopters.

Please ensure you arrange accommodation well in advance. Onsite camping will be available at $15/night for two adults ($5/night for each additional adult). Children under 12 are free. Our toilet and shower block is available for your comfort and convenience. Please indicate on the Entry Form if you will be camping.

The 2019 entry fee remains at $45, with no charge or limit for additional models.

We are planning a dinner on the Saturday night at the Clubhouse - cost is not included in the entry fee. Please indicate numbers attending on the Entry Form.
